A £40,000 was issued after the worker severed their thumb on a table saw during renovation work on a hotel

Worker has leg amputated following fall
While loading a truck, the worker fell from the back along with a pallet truck when the vehicle pulled away, resulting in severe leg injuries

Construction firm fined after ignoring fire safety warnings
The £165,000 fine was issued after a prohibition notice was ignored at an apartment development project

£400,000 fine issued after worker crushed at waste facility
The worker was crushed when a shovel loader reversed into them, crushing them between 2 vehicles and causing serious injuries

HSE publishes latest fatal injury statistics

In the last year, 124 workers were killed in work-related incidents in Great Britain.

The most common causes of fatal injuries are falls from height, being struck by a moving object, and being trapped by something collapsing or overturning.
