The EU approves the law of avoiding deforestation

Last week, the European Parliament passed a law ending imported deforestation. Companies will now have the obligation to carry out a due diligence process whose results serve to demonstrate that their products were not a cause of deforestation, as well as to guarantee respect for human rights and the rights of indigenous peoples.
