OCEAN INITIATIVES: GET READY FOR THE FLAGSHIP WEEKEND!

Preparations are in full swing for the Ocean Initiative (OI) volunteers and the whole Surfrider Foundation Europe team. Starting this coming Thursday, March 16th, litter collections are organised all throughout Europe by citizens who want to clean up beaches and river shores. How can you organise your own collection ? BEAT THE MICROBEAD : TOGETHER AGAINST PLASTIC MICROBEADS IN COSMETICS!

Within a coalition of 50 associations, the “Beat the Microbead” collective - including Surfrider Foundation Europe, is taking constant action against microbeads in cosmetic products. From February 14th to February 20th, many of you have shared our tweets and raised awareness on this nearly invisible environmental disaster!

First Riverine collection in Tours

The Barcelona chapter is back!

First Riverine collection in ToursThe first Riverine Input collection was organised last February 5th by the local chapter of Tours (Centre-West of France). For this special occasion, several photos of the site once cleaned allowed us to highlight what the volunteers had accomplished. Once again, the collection was full of plastic bottles…and wellies!

Good news for Catalan people! After a few years of inactivity, the volunteers of Barcelona’s local chapter are back in business. Perfect timing to fully get into the Ocean Initiatives campaign. Let’s meet up on March 18th at Playa de Barceloneta for a clean-up operation and a proper relaunching!
