RESET YOUR HABITS : THE EUROPEAN TOUR OF THE WATER FOUNTAINS

Real plague on our beaches, in our rivers and our oceans, the single-use plastic bottle is not a solution, even when traveling. To go from plastic bottles to reusable containers, Surfrider presents through an original tour of Europe to discover water fountains and positive initiatives to no longer get thirsty.

#OUROCEAN : SURFRIDER ACTING FOR OCEAN PROTECTION

Surfrider Foundation Europe presented and defended 3 of its commitments at the “ Our Ocean” conference organized by the European Commission in Malta on October the 5th and the 6th

MARITIME TRANSPORT: SIGNIFICANT PROGRESS, SURFRIDER IS AT THE FOREFRONT

The 71st session of the Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) was held from the 3rd until the 7th of July. During these sessions, the International Maritime Organization (IMO) aims to fulfill its mission to protect the oceans, human health and reduce climate change. Surfrider is mobilizing to create a European label.

OCEAN INITIATIVE IN BARCELONA

On the 7th of October, the Barcelona Chapter organized with « Lendi sin plástico” a waste collect on the beach but not only. With help from NGOs, sportive clubs, voluntary citizens, but the cleaning also took place on and below the surface of the sea with people on stand-up paddle and divers. Well done !

CHAPTER DAYS

The Chapter Days took place on the 21st and 22nd of October at Surfrider Foundation Europe headquarters in Biarritz. For the occasion, the managers of Surfrider’s Chapters were invited to learn more about the different projects and act accordingly locally.
