First international arrives in Scotland escorted to quarantine hotel costing £1,750 The first international arrivals into Edinburgh Airport were taken to the brand new quarantine hotels this morning under new rules that were enforced today. The first visitor landed in Scotland at 9.55am, after a flight from Dublin and, alongside any other arrivals into the country, will have to undertake a 10 day period of isolation. First Minister warns of potential transmission around schools if opened in February In her daily briefing today, Nicola Sturgeon warned of the risk factor surrounding schools if they were to open this month. The First Minister added that the risk was not specifically the possibility of transmission inside the buildings, but "all of the activity that takes place around the schools".
