Legislators this year appoved a map with one majority-Black district out of the six in Louisiana, even though two out of every six people in Louisiana are Black. A judge in Baton Rouge has reduced the prison terms for two men convicted on drug charges handled by a now-disgraced officer. The development is the latest involving the BRPD narcotics unit.
