Life is Too Short to Leave Your Future to Chance. Dear John, My entire life I’ve been conditioned not to brag. I have been told by family, friends, bosses and even mentors that my work should speak for itself. Well, that would be the ideal strategy if I were a Trappist Monk, but as a sales and business strategy consultant, I need to tell people about the value I deliver so they can ask me for help. This is a key premise: Revenue is a function of value creation. Revenue growth is a function of: 1). An increase in the perception of value or 2). Delivery of additional value 3). Both Relationships help influence the perception of value. I attract clients by developing a relationship with them, delivering value at the outset of the relationship, and then explaining the value I provide if they invest in me financially. This weekly email is a great example of that concept. I just provided you with something valuable. In 159 words I explained the concept of “relationship-based revenue growth” (aka sales). If you think about that concept and how it relates to your daily work, you’ll be able to develop a plan for you own personal revenue growth. How can you increase the perception of value of your product, service, experience? How can you deliver additional value to existing relationships? I make money when people want to discover new ways, easier ways, and more effective ways to do those three things. And I customize my solutions to fit each of my clients. That’s what makes me different from everyone else who does what I do. The return on investment I deliver is unparalleled and I have letters of recommendation and video testimonials to prove it. Here’s what this means for you: You must develop a succinct value statement and you must deliver it to everyone. But before you do that, you should deliver some kind of value to start or deepen the relationship. If you need help thinking this though, you must call me. 888.444.5150 Life is too short to leave your future to chance. Take control of your revenue production right now. Have a great weekend.
