| More and more countries are launching national real-time payment (RTP) systems, and the COVID-19 pandemic has provided the perfect tailwinds for the expansion of these payment systems. Saudi Arabia launched its immediate payments system in April 2021, while Canada is preparing to launch its national RTP system. The US Federal Reserve is currently piloting its RTP system. |
