Dear friend and supporter, The situation for evacuees from Israel's North is growing increasingly desperate. Just this past week, we learned of hundreds of residents pleading not to be evacuated from their hotel in Eilat. "By mid-July we are all supposed to leave our hotel, and we have nowhere to go" - one evacuee explained. Yesterday we came across a group of 18 families, totaling over 240 people, from different communities in Israel's North, who have been told they must vacate their hotel rooms by the end of the week. These families have been staying at this hotel since the start of the Israel-Hamas war and were told to return to their settlements near Lebanon's border. Despite the Israeli government committing to fund their stay, they have not been able to meet their responsibility for months. This is just one of many examples of how hard things are in Israel right now. People are under immense pressure, and with new attacks from Lebanon, returning home is not an option. The evacuees' situation is a crisis. At Feed Israel, we are dedicated to supporting these evacuees by providing essential supplies, medical care, and mental health support. |
