"Thank you for showing compassion that makes a difference" The signs of Fall have been slow in coming, but the falling leaves are evidence colder temperatures are on the way. Our Hot Patrols are officially over, and we are very grateful to all of you who had a part in that program. We now turn our attention to helping our homeless, as they will face colder temperatures of 32 degrees and below. Murfreesboro Rescue Mission will once again partner with Coldest Nights to help bring shelter during life-threatening temperatures. Last year we saw 30 to 40 men and women utilize the shelters during our city’s coldest nights. Over the last three years we have averaged 700 individual nightly stays in the colder months, with a total of over 2,100 individual nightly stays. This season, we will see another 700 plus opportunities where people are seeking refuge from the cold. These lifesaving services are possible because of your generosity.
During the last season, your gift provided the following: - laundry service for clean sheets and blankets
- new blankets to replace those that were old and worn out
- cleaning supplies to help with hygiene in the living areas
- supervision and security services to keep our residents safe
Please consider making a gift to Murfreesboro Rescue Mission to help our homeless during this time. Thank you for showing compassion that makes a difference.
