Consistently featured in the selective World’s 50 Best Bars list, this Parisian cocktail den is regarded a pioneer of London style bars in the French capital, with an understated presence on Rue Charlot, only identified by the eponymous little red door after which it is named.
This is still a venue characterised by cosmopolitan vibes and cocktails made with modernist techniques, filled with a cool crowd of twenty and thirty-somethings, and considering its reputation and its placement on the World’s Best List, has an exceptionally chilled Parisian vibe.
This cosy and cosmopolitan nightspot, has been one of the world’s best bars for more than a decade and that longevity isn’t down to classicism, but reinvention. Little Red Door has never stopped probing the conventions around cocktails and the way they are served to guests. This month’s Negroni is no exception!

THE DRINK
Their Olive Aperitif Negroni recipe is a unique, sophisticated, delicate and intriguing variation on the Negroni.
Rethinking the elements of the Negroni and switching out the Campari for Fino Sherry, as well as rebalancing the ABV of the cocktail by adding a second dry vermouth creates a beautifully light take on the Negroni.
As mentioned, the aperitif nature of the drink comes to the fore and this is a perfect early evening drink to have while preparing dinner with a bowl full of saline rich green olives. The Fino notes, combined with the Umami characteristics and the dash of salt give the drink an amazing savory complexity.
