As columnist Scott Rabalais writes, the Tigers and the Nebraska city are "a perfect match, like hot crawfish and cold beer, Bogart and Bacall, infield dirt and outfield grass." The reputation of LSU and its fans has grown over the years in Omaha, and it's definitely a mutual love affair. “The hospitality is over the top,” according to LSU fan Charles Bond III. “From the airport to the Uber to the hotel to the restaurants, they all say LSU fans come whether the Tigers are here or not. It gives you goose bumps.” LSU faces Arkansas today in a matchup of SEC rivals, as the Tigers take aim at the program’s eighth national championship. Under a pair of bills that received final passage in the Legislature on Thursday, teacher salaries would increase by $2,250 and support staff salaries by $1,125 if voters in the state approve a constitutional amendment.
