One Page You Absolutely Must Have on Your Art Website By Clint Watson |
As we all adjust to the new normal after having been sequestered in our homes, we're all finding alternate ways to make the most of our time.So let's ask ourselves: How can we use this time to get better? How can we be of service and use?
I know, without a doubt that great art is being created around the world at this very moment. Perhaps by you! Our entire team is focused 100% on whatever we can do to help you market and sell more art.
With that in mind, we're focusing FineArtViews on sales and marketing ideas more than ever before. The following article was selected from our archives as it seems quite timely in the current situation and provides ideas we think you can use to improve your own art marketing.

It is essential for you to have a "Join Email List" link on your website. And moreover your site should manage subscriptions and un-subscriptions to that list automatically. Successful marketers know thatthe best strategists take their offers to the customersrather than waiting for the customers to come to them. That's why the primary goal of your web site is building your "house" email list. In fact, art marketing guru, Alyson Stanfield says that neglecting a mailing list isTHE Biggest Mistakeartists make when it comes to marketing. But why do I insist upon an automatic system? Trust me on this: you don't want to risk having even one person "fall through the cracks" with a manual system (and with a manual system, I guarantee you people will "fall through the cracks"). And worse, that one person may have been the one who was destined to become your very best collector. (Don't discount the value of one collector! I know an individual collector who has purchased over 50 paintings by one artist.) Regarding un-subscribers: you want the process to be automatic because you want them removed from your list immediately. If you don't remove a subscriber immediately and you continue to send the person e-mail, you run the risk of violating Federal anti-spam laws. Is this a pain to implement? Yes. (Well, actually it's simple if you get aFineArtStudioOnline account). Is it worth it? Definitely.
Until next time, please remember that Fortune Favors the Bold Brush.
