Hey Friend, In the last email, I told you the story about attending a conference where I was supposed to discover my dream but then almost walking out in the middle of it, because I had not idea what I was doing there. As I was about to leave, the organizer took the stage and spoke. “Before the conference," he said, "we did a survey and asked each of you what your dream was. Many of you said 'I don't know.'" I turned away from the exit, my gaze now fixed on him. He was describing me. "Some of you," he continued, "in fact, many of you, said you had no idea." He asked those of us who didn't know what their dream was to raise our hand. Anxiously, I waited for someone else to go first. Slowly, a few hands went up. Then a few more. And a few more, until finally I saw over half the hands in the room raised. Before I knew it, my hand joined in the chorus of career confusion. A sigh of relief escaped my mouth. Maybe there was hope for me, after all. Then the speaker said something else. "Here's the truth, though. You do know what your dream is . . . You’re just afraid to admit it.” My heart sank. As soon as he spoke those words, I knew he was right. And one word popped into my mind. One word I had been avoiding all this time. But now, I could no longer escape it. It was ringing in my brain, echoing in my soul, calling to me from someplace deep within me. I opened up my notebook and scribbled down the word. One word that changed everything. One little word that made the books and blog posts and everything that would follow possible. WRITER. That was the word that changed everything. Calling myself a writer was the first step on a long road to some major breakthroughs. Within a year, I published not one, but two books. Six months later, I quit my job. So did my wife. Our household income tripled that year. We had a kid, launched a business, and we were just getting started. Not long after that, I was launching bestselling books, being featured on Time.com, Psychology Today, and some of the top blogs on the Internet. My story was featured on Business Insider and the New York Observer, and I was being asked to speak at events with tens of thousands of people. It all began with a simple declaration: I am a writer. But it didn't end there. As Richard Bach once said, “a professional is just an amateur who didn’t quit.” So that’s what I did. Now that I knew my calling, it was time to get to work. Now, I don’t believe you “fake it ‘till you make it”. But you do believe it ‘till you become it. Quickly, though, I realized that in order to get noticed, I needed a platform, a way for people to find me and read my work. For me, that began with a blog. And it’s worked for many, many others as well. In fact, I’ve personally worked with over 10,000 writers, helping them launch their blogs into the world. Once I built a place where readers could find my writing, everything started to take off. Everything became easier. So, how did I do it? Lots of people have asked me this. So, over the years of coaching and teaching writers and bloggers, I’ve developed a process that has worked over and over again. And recently, I’ve captured that entire process in a free video training where I teach you how I got 10,000 fans, published two books, and made $150,000 in six months. If you want to learn how, you can sign up for a free training time by clicking the link below: Click here to sign up for the next available time. This training is completely free. And at the end, I’ll share a special opportunity for people who want to go deeper in this process. Wherever you are in this journey, though, I want to encourage you: You're not alone. If you're struggling or frustrated or don’t even know what your next step is, there are others out there just like you. That's the good news. The even better news is that however stuck you feel, you don't have to stay stuck. I'll show you how in this free teaching. Thanks, Jeff
