In response to NYC’s recent move to increase the minimum pay rate for app-based food delivery workers, both DoorDash and Uber Eats announced Monday that they will eliminate the tip prompt from the checkout page on their apps. Is this the right thing to do, or is this just going to incense workers and tippers alike?
