| | Today's focus: Responsible Tourism Track | 10 March 2022 | The Responsible Tourism Track provides the latest insights on travel, tourism, and socially responsible sustainability. It analyzes sustainability as one of the most important factors in transforming the tourism industry. In this crucial decade, continuous improvement and transformative change are paramount. The following highlights provide an overview of the track's diversity:
| How to Walk the Talk? The Hospitality CEOs on Sustainability. In this session on 10 March at 11:30 a.m. - 12:20 p.m., Wolfgang M. Neumann, Chair, Sustainable Hospitality Alliance will kick off the session with a keynote address. Prof. Dr. Willy Legrand and Xenia zu Hohenlohe will moderate the panel discussion that will follow. Marloes Knippenberg, CEO, Kerten Hospitality / Sébastien Bazin, Chariman & CEO, Accor Group / Nakul Anand, Executive Director, ITC Ltd. and Dirk Bakker, CEO, Colliers will be leading industry CEOs to discuss actions that are driving sustainability in their companies and across the industry.

It's the Journey that Matters: Challenges and Opportunities in Sustainable Mobility. Transportation accounts for the largest share of tourism emissions. Therefore, the panel discussion at 12:25 pm - 1:00 pm will focus on answering the following question: How can we get to a destination sustainably now and in the future? Panel guests including Dr. Thomas Becker, Vice President Sustainability, Mobility BMW and Andrea Koepfer, Senior Director Communications, Public Affairs & Responsibility, FlixMobility will discuss other questions such as what innovations can revolutionize mobility needs.

| The Forgotten Majority - Good Practice Examples to Address Human Rights Risks of Informal Workers in Tourism Informal workers are an important part of the global tourism industry and account for the majority of jobs in tourism. Yet the informal sector is caught between entrepreneurial opportunities and the risk of exploitation. This panel discussion will feature contributions from experts and examples of best practices to address the challenges and opportunities of respecting the human rights of informal workers.

Resilience in times of a pandemic: Are LGBTQ+ travelers a long-lasting target group to help the tourism industry recover? The LGBTQ+ travel community is a proven and powerful target group for many destinations. The session will begin with a keynote presentation by David Paisley, CEO of CMI. Within the panel, the travel plans of the LGBTQ+ - community will be analyzed in more detail regarding the Covid-19 pandemic. The panel guests include Felipe Cardenas, President of the Colombian LGBT Chamber of Commerce and Board Chairman of IGLTA / Janette Carter, Vice President of Marketing, Visit Tampa Bay / Kristi Kavanaugh, Vice President global marketing and sales, Aspen Snowmass / Frédéric Boutry, Coordinator LGBT, Visit Brussels and Giovanna Ceccherini, Advisor, AITGL â Associazione Italiano del Turismo Gay & Lesbian. At the end of the session, the prestigious ITB LGBTQ+ Pioneer Award 2022 will be presented to an outstanding industry member.

| 11 MARCH 2022: "10th ACCESSIBLE TOURISM DAY" | On Friday, 11 March 2022, the 10th Accessible Tourism Day will be held online from 10:30 a.m. - approx. 2:30 p.m., complementing the ITB Berlin Convention. How can the various needs of vacationers with impairments be addressed in tourism offers? Which attractive possibilities already exist for the different target groups of barrier-free offers? How can communication and booking processes be better adapted to the needs of people with disabilities? And what are the associated opportunities and challenges for tourism providers and DMOs?
