Ruth Berg, 47, was a longtime receptionist at the school. Her life will be celebrated on Sunday, Aug. 13 at 5 p.m. in the Lower and Middle School Chapel at 4200 West River Parkway in Minneapolis. 

Fire officials were called to the 2600 block of Swan Lake Road early Wednesday afternoon.

Showers and thunderstorms will spread into the western half of the region in the afternoon, and will arrive in the Twin Ports after 4 p.m. 

 MnDOT is proposing an improvement project along Mesaba Avenue, which would include eliminating the weave situation between Westbound Superior Street and Westbound Mesaba Avenue.
