Roughly ten people participated in the protest, which was aimed to halt construction of the pipeline.

According to the Cass County Sheriff's Office, authorities were called to a home in the Pine River Township and rural Backus area late Saturday night. 

Starting this weekend, according to the Mayor of Bentleyville, Nathan Bentley, volunteers are needed every Saturday and Sunday from 8:30 am - 4 pm, and Wednesdays from 5 pm - 8 pm.
