Reddit deal allows OpenAI to train its AI on users' content

In return, OpenAI will create AI features for Reddit

Social media company Reddit has announced a partnership with OpenAI that will allow the ChatGPT creator to train its AI models on Reddit content posted by its tens of millions of daily users, CNBC reported.

Reddit's platform will also benefit as OpenAI will create AI-powered features for users and moderators. Google announced a similar deal with Reddit earlier this year that allows the tech giant to train its own AI models on Reddit content.

Such deals are becoming more common as AI companies try to steer clear of copyright claims from creators accusing them of using their content without permission ...

How bendy is the thinnest-ever iPad Pro? A YouTuber performs a brutal test to find out

The tablet has been fitted with a metal spine to improve its strength, but just how much pressure can it take?

At just 0.2 inches (5.1 mm), the 13-inch version of Apple’s new iPad Pro is the thinnest device it’s ever built, company executive John Ternus said when he unveiled the tablet last week.

True to form, JerryRigEverything’s Zak Nelson wasted no time in subjecting the new iPad Pro to one of his trademark durability tests, which culminated with a brutal bit of bending.

Considering just how thin the new tablet is, the device actually holds up pretty well. Nelson describes it as having “suspicious black magic levels of structural integrity,” until it finally caves in ...

The new streaming service from Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery finally gets a name

The new platform will be all about sports

We finally have a name for the upcoming streaming service that we first heard about in February: Venu.

Disney, Fox, and Warner Bros. Discovery are aiming to launch the new sports streaming app in the fall, Lifewire reported, though the time frame is conditional on getting the nod from the Federal Trade Commission.

“We are excited to officially introduce Venu Sports, a brand that we feel captures the spirit of an all-new streaming home where sports fans outside of the traditional pay TV ecosystem can experience an incredible collection of live sports, all in one place,” said Venu Sports CEO Pete Distad ...

Watch six minutes of highlights from Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

If you're eager to take a look, just keep in mind that it may contain some light spoilers

Warner Bros. has shared six minutes of footage from the epic action film Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, Games Radar reported.

The movie is set a couple of decades before Mad Max: Fury Road and follows a young Furiosa (Alyla Browne and Anya Taylor-Joy), who’s been kidnapped from her mother and taken to the Warlord Dementus. “Over the six minutes, we see Furiosa go from a scared child to a full-out weapon-wielding warrior who seeks vengeance against Dementus for killing her mother and stealing her childhood,” Games Radar said.

Furiosa premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this week and received a seven-minute standing ovation, setting it up nicely for its theater launch on May 24 ...

Launch window revealed for Grand Theft Auto 6

Fans of the popular video game still have a while to wait

Strauss Zelnick, CEO of Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive, has offered a clearer indication of when the highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto 6 will finally land, Digital Trends reported.

“Our outlook reflects a narrowing of Rockstar Games’ previously established window of calendar 2025 to fall of calendar 2025 for Grand Theft Auto 6,” Zelnick said on Thursday, adding that he’s confident Rockstar Games “will deliver an unparalleled entertainment experience."

Asked by Variety to be even more specific than "the fall of 2025," the CEO declined to respond, saying only that the next announcement regarding the release date “will come from Rockstar and be consistent with the way they are marketing the title” ...
