April Options Volume & Market Share
OCC Cleared Contract Volume Up 27% On May 1, OCC announced overall exchange-listed options volume volume reached 398,481,297 contracts in April, up 29 percent from April 2017. Equity options volume reached a total of 356,177,370 contracts, a 32 percent increase from April 2017. This includes cleared ETF options volume of 164,495,446 contracts last month, a 27 percent increase over April 2017 volume of 129,366,338 contracts. Index options volume was up five percent with 42,303,927 contracts in April.
