Oracle Database 12c Release 2 Now Available Everywhere

Oracle announced that the latest version of the world's #1 database, Oracle Database 12c Release 2 (12.2), is now available everywhere—in the cloud, with Oracle Cloud at Customer, and on-premises. Oracle Database 12.2 includes enhancements to the unique multitenant architecture and in-memory database technologies that provide customers with outstanding consolidation, performance, reliability, and security for all workloads.

Gartner Positions Oracle in Leaders Quadrant for Data Management Solutions for Analytics

New Gartner research positions Oracle in the leaders quadrant among 20 vendors in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Data Management Solutions for Analytics. Gartner has positioned Oracle as a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Data Management Solutions for Analytics since 2006, and highest for ability to execute in the leaders quadrant for the past 3 years.

Oracle In-Memory Scored Highest for Current Offering and Strategy by Forrester

In the Forrester WaveTM: In-Memory Databases, Q1 2017, independent analyst firm Forrester positions Oracle as a leader among 13 in-memory database vendors, stating that Oracle offers more choices when it comes to in-memory solutions, including Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database and Oracle Database In-Memory products.
