| Robert Fico back in power in Slovakia? | 30/09/2023 On 30 September, Slovaks renewed the 150 members of the National Council of the Republic (Narodna rada Slovenskej republiky), the single chamber of parliament. Direction-Social Democracy (SMER-SD), led by former prime minister Robert Fico, came out ahead with 22.94% of the vote and 42 seats.
