I know some people give up on makeup during the sweltering summer months, but not me. It's actually my favorite time to try out new things because they have to withstand such severe conditions to make the cut. I've tested more than 50 products this summer, but only three have become staples of my revamped summer routine. When you’re getting 15 hours of sunlight, SPF is a must; however, I am a maximalist and want all of my products to do more. InnBeauty Project’s Mineral Sun Glow SPF, which features a sheer, radiant tint, has been great for that. I use it in place of a primer and highlighter. For days I need more coverage, I top it off with Chanel’s Les Beiges Healthy Glow Foundation—the brand is responsible for Anne Hathaway and Kirsten Dunst's flawless complexions. The lightweight foundation has a dewy, non-oily finish, and subtle but concealing coverage. Last but not least, while I’m spending my days indoors glued to the AC, I still want to look like I’m sunkissed from lounging poolside on a Sicilian beach. I fake that with Gxve by Gwen Stefani’s Dewyplump Cheek Tint. It’s beginner-friendly, has buildable pigment, and blends effortlessly. |
