| Hello. The Hamas-run health ministry says at least 27 people have been killed and 90 injured by Israeli fire while waiting for aid distribution in Rafah, southern Gaza - we'll bring you the latest. In the aftermath of Ukraine's audacious 'Spider Web' attack on Russian air bases, the team at BBC Verify explain just how the painstaking plot was carried out. TOP OF THE AGENDA | Israeli fire kills 27 waiting for aid at distribution centre, say Gaza authorities |
| | A medic in the area told the BBC of "total carnage" and being overwhelmed with casualties. Credit: Reuters | Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry says at least 27 people waiting for aid have been killed and 90 injured after Israeli troops opened fire near a distribution centre in Rafah. Gaza's Civil Defense Agency said people were hit by fire from tanks, helicopters and drones. The Israeli military said it fired shots after identifying "several suspects" and is examining reports of casualties. The aid distribution centre is part of a new US and Israeli-run delivery system which Israel says aims to prevent Hamas from stealing supplies. The UN has criticised it as "dehumanising". And as international editor Jeremy Bowen notes, it creates huge crowds and "when Israeli forces see big concentrations of Palestinians, they see threat". |

| BEYOND THE HEADLINES | How Ukraine carried out daring 'Spider Web' attack on Russian bombers |
| | | Ukraine claims the attack to Russia's strategic aviation has cost Moscow about $7bn (£5bn). Credit: EPA | On Sunday, more than 100 Ukrainian drones struck air bases deep inside Russia, targeting nuclear-capable long-range bombers. It was an attack of astonishing ingenuity but also painstaking, and was 18 months in the making. The team at BBC Verify have pieced together how the audacious attack unfolded, and what Russian lorry drivers did when they realised smuggled drones were flying out of their vehicles. |
