It's no secret that billing rates are on the rise, but what's the best way for a partner to bring up the subject with a client? According to industry observers, personal communication is the best way to go, but law firm leaders say partners are increasingly relying on engagement letters to break the news. Our first story today looks into the dynamics at play. Also, a federal judge in Pennsylvania was tasked with determining whether a recent law curbing forced arbitration can apply retroactively.
