Bennet (engineering Professor Emeritus at the University of Colorado, Boulder). He reviews the previous works and corrects one little flaw that throws error in the calculated velocity where the fins start to flutter. He also includes a simple spreadsheet that does all the math for you. Also in This Issue: Rocket Plan - The "Triffid" The plan in this issue is a fantasy model called the Triffid by Steve Reigel. It is is long slender model that looks delicate, but it is more than strong because it has a combination of ring fins and tube fins. You'll see the completed model as flown, an isometric drawing plus the three view engineering drawing. There is also a parts list, pattern sheets and decal patterns that you can print out.
