| One of the few bright spots during the Pelicans' 7-20 start to the season is the play of Jonas Valanciunas. The Lithuanian center has been the team's most consistent player. He's recorded 20 double-doubles in 27 games. The two-year, $30.1 million extension Valanciunas signed in October is looking like a bargain, especially with the way Valanciunas is shooting from deep. Valanciunas is converting 3s at a 46.9% rate on 2.5 attempts per game, career highs in both categories. He has made 31 3s, only one away from the most he's ever made in a season, with roughly two-thirds of the regular season remaining. "Those things, I wanted to add to my game as well," Valanciunas told The Times-Picayune. "I don’t want to disappear." Valanciunas isn't going anywhere. The 10-year NBA veteran has never played better.
