Turning maker kits into face shields.
Invent TechnoChic In unusual times, inspiration can come from unexpected places. Natasha Dzurny, who designs electronic craft projects for kids, realized that the headbands in her light-up unicorn horn kits could be fashioned into face shields that medical workers at her local hospital in New Jersey desperately needed. So she organized a team to produce them, and is making a video with DIY instructions.
She’s one of the many resourceful designers in our community making protective gear from materials they have in their workshops (or even their pantries). Maybe doing a little spring cleaning will inspire your next project, too.
