Code Commerce: Last chance for the First Mover Rate
Hi, This is your last week to save $200. Register now for the Early Mover Rate — ending July 31! SAVE $200 > In the digital era, “window shopping” is possible wherever, whenever — as long as there’s Wi-Fi. Anyone with a phone or computer can imagine themselves vacationing in Tahiti, browsing the latest fashion trends or redecorating their living room. And this presents a golden opportunity for lifestyle marketers. Code Commerce is excited to announce two guests who are seizing on this opportunity: Pinterest President Tim Kendall and Nadia Boujarwah, founder of plus-size-fashion online retailer Dia&Co. Pinterest has digitized the “vision board.” Now Tim Kendall is in charge of monetizing it. So far, he’s done a great job: In 2014, Pinterest generated $25 million. In 2017, it’s expected to generate more than $500 million. But Kendall thinks it can grow even bigger. Pinterest is more than an aspirational platform — it’s where people go to browse, be inspired and, eventually, to shop. Kendall thinks Pinterest is ideally positioned to serve the “squishy middle” between brand advertising and direct response. |
| Nadia Boujarwah identified an underserved market — plus-size women who want stylish clothes. And she’s building an online retailer to fill this product gap. Boujarwah made a splash when she took out a full-page ad in The New York Times on the first day of New York Fashion Week, declaring, “Fashion she can’t wear is becoming a bit unfashionable.” | | She thinks fashion should be more inclusive. And she has also identified a lucrative marketplace: 100 million women in America wear sizes 14-plus. The Dia&Co subscription service sends women a box with customized fashion choices — and offers them a 20% discount if they keep all the items.

At Code Commerce, Kendall and Boujarwah are joining a powerful and diverse commerce lineup that already includes: Williams-Sonoma CEO Laura Alber Forerunner Ventures star retail investor Kirsten Green Founders of Glossier, Bonobos and Warby Parker Founders of Blue Apron and Sweetgreen NBA Commissioner Adam Silver and Fanatics Executive Chairman Michael Rubin Heads of BuzzFeed Product Labs and The New York Times’ The Wirecutter And you’re just in time — there’s just one week left to save $200 with the First Mover Rate when you register now.
