On the latest episode of the Machinery Pete Podcast we go back in time, 9 years ago this month, to a conversation had with then 95 year old Harold Brock of Waterloo, IA. Harold was chief engineer on both Ford 9N and JD 4020 tractors!
Harold tells the story of how John Deere developed the New Generation tractor models unveiled in August 1960. Harold also tells us what it was like as a young engineer working personally with Henry Ford, Thomas Edison and George Washington Carver.
Harold passed away just 3 months after this interview, on 1/2/11.
