Hello, This Wednesday lunchtime we’re again rounding up the main crime and court headlines from around the county. Police are appealing for information following a shooting incident in a quiet Lancashire village on Monday. Officers were called at around 4pm to reports somebody had approached an address in Heysham before shooting at the front door and then fleeing the scene. Elsewhere, visitors to Cuerden Valley Park are being warned about a man who was seen exposing himself in the woods. The man was seen touching himself inappropriately in woodland close to the Stag Lodge car park A Lancashire murderer who smothered his baby daughter and toddler son before going on to poison his new girlfriend has had his sentence increased. The Court of Appeal found the 40-year minimum term imposed by Mr Justice Goose in December on Jordan Monaghan was unduly lenient and increased it by eight years. Finally, an investigation into the fire which destroyed the former Odeon cinema and Tokyo Jo’s nightclub in Preston is “very much ongoing”, say police.
