Friend, Fall is on its way, and your members of Congress have returned to Washington. But just because Congress has reconvened doesn’t mean our plan to save the open internet has changed: We’ll keep the pressure on by visiting their in-district offices and ensuring that lawmakers hear from as many people as possible on Net Neutrality. Are you in? Sign up to host an in-district drop-in about Net Neutrality. A drop-in is different from an official meeting — you don't need to schedule with the office ahead of time. You can just drop by and talk to congressional staff about issues that matter to you. It’s their job to relay your message to your members of Congress; after all, lawmakers work for you. We'll provide all the info you'll need to make your meeting successful. In fact, you can check out a guide we made to support your organizing. Drop-ins are super-easy to participate in, and can be fun when you organize a group of people to go with you! We’d like to help you do just that: Sign up to host a drop-in with your member of Congress and we'll connect you with others in your area who will join you. The visit itself should take just a few minutes. You can ask a question about the congressperson's position on Net Neutrality, talk about why the open internet is important to you, and encourage them to support the FCC's existing Net Neutrality rules. These meetings are an important opportunity for activists and constituents to put our members of Congress on the spot and make it clear that we will accept nothing less than REAL Net Neutrality. Volunteering to meet with your member of Congress (or their legislative staff) is the most impactful thing you can do to save Net Neutrality right now. Will you meet with congressional staff and urge them to protect the open internet? Click here if you're interested in hosting an in-district drop-in. Right now, we have the strongest and most legally sound Net Neutrality rules on the books, and we need Congress to support them. The only way we'll get there is by showing that there's vast public support for these rules and that messing with our internet freedom will have political consequences. Together we can make sure the internet is a tool for collective liberation. Thanks for all that you do— Lucia, Mary Alice, Candace, Brandon, Saurav and the rest of the Free Press Action Fund team P.S. Can't attend a meeting but want to help save the open internet?
