With the 4th of July around the corner, fireworks will soon be sprinkling our night skies!
Did you know that fireworks are a combustion of chemicals producing different wavelengths of light? This is the science behind a firework’s color! There are different chemical compounds in fireworks where each produces a unique color (or wavelength of light) when burned. You can get a closer look at these colors without the “pop!” by experiencing our Rainbow Fire Kit or our Spectroscope Analysis Kit.
Those color chemical reactions only reach the sky due to being forced! Learn about force and motion with these kits as well.
