Our CBS Sports staff held its first mock draft following Super Bowl LVIII. While the player landscape will change drastically after free agency, it's always interesting to note how Fantasy managers approach the draft, even at this stage. This PPR mock draft was for a three-receiver league, and the strategy employed by some members of our FFT team was intriguing, to say the least. More on that later… |

In addition to our Post-Super Bowl PPR mock draft, Heath Cummings wrapped up his 2024 Dynasty rankings this week by concluding with his wide receiver and tight end Dynasty rankings. In his wide receiver rankings, he highlights young wide receivers like Rashee Rice and Jaxon Smith-Njigba. He also delves into expectations for Travis Kelce in 2024 in his tight end rankings. |
Fantasy Football PPR Mock Draft Recap |
In our post-Super Bowl mock draft, Joel Cox implemented a Zero RB strategy with his first six picks, opting for four wide receivers, a tight end, and a quarterback. On the flip side, Dave Richard took the direct opposite approach, prioritizing running backs with four of his first six picks—Jonathan Taylor, Kyren Williams, Joe Mixon, and James Conner. It's evident that Dave is fully committed to relying heavily on his ground game in 2024. |

I happen to be a big fan of Meron Berkson's draft haul. He managed to snag De'Von Achane in Round 2 and followed up that selection by taking Tua Tagovailoa in Round 9. I don't know if you've heard but the plan in Miami is for Achane to get more involved in the passing game next year. Pairing Tua with Achane could create quite the formidable Dynasty duo for years to come. |

2024 Dynasty Wide Receiver Rankings |
There are a couple of wide receivers heading into their second season who flashed their potential during their rookie year, and one of them is Rashee Rice. Rice posted 79 receptions for 938 yards and seven touchdowns this season, and keep in mind – he was targeted 102 times. |
|
Rice is firmly entrenched as a building block for the Chiefs' receiver corps, and I see no reason for his production to take a dip in 2024. Yes, there will be some discussions about who the Chiefs will add at wide receiver during free agency or the draft, but keep in mind, Rice and Patrick Mahomes already have a strong rapport. I'd be highly surprised if any wide receiver comes along and stifles his production. |
|
Heath Cummings also underscores the playmaking ability of Jaxon Smith-Njigba, despite putting up just 628 yards and four touchdowns on 63 receptions. Part of the reason Smith-Njigba didn't put up the type of numbers Rice did this season was that he's essentially the Seahawks' No. 3 receiver. However, if Tyler Lockett is cut this offseason, expect Smith-Njigba's stock to surge. |

2024 Dynasty Tight End Rankings |
The fantasy youth movement at tight end has reached Dynasty, with Heath Cummings listing Sam Laporta as his No. 1 tight end. Age plays a more significant role in Dynasty rankings, evident in Travis Kelce being currently positioned at No. 8 in Heath's updated tight end rankings. Despite Kelce's impressive playoff performances, his age of 34 is a factor influencing his ranking. |
|
Heath suggests that if you are a contender in your Dynasty league, holding on to Travis Kelce might be worthwhile due to his upside. However, if you find yourself in the middle or back of the pack in your Dynasty league, it could be best to consider trading him, possibly during rookie drafts or even earlier. |
