The university hasn't explicitly called it a cyberattack, but it has said Louisiana State Police are investigating. We talked to a cybersecurity expert who says it has all the hallmarks of a hack and walked through some of the issues with keeping a college campus secure. LSU has also dealt with internet connectivity problems on campus, but those seem less severe, and the university says there's no sign it was a cyberattack.
