Hi achternaam,

Queen Liz once described her year as; Annus Horribilus, my December has been... Mensis Horribillis. A month of drama, sadness and discomfort. One to put behind me.

Bad luck is supposed to run in threes, I mananged 3 batches of 3 at least! I missed most of the month here at HQ as I chased about the country with sick relatives and various dramas. I spent hours on the phone, in hospitals, on the road and in the air.

The worst day was flying out of Perth with gastro, a broken ankle and a very recent bereavement... Purgartory!

Despite the handicap we made it to the Melbourne screening of Finke -- there and back, the following day only to have some low-life knock off a pair of powder blue Avduro Pannierz we made as a special sponsorship prize.

If you see a pair of blue panniers out there with this logo on it, they are knocked off.

It's all up from here, the surgeon operated on the correct leg!

So, just a quick note to wish you and yours, a screamer of a 2020 and a safe silly season.

These things have to be the most dangerous, ill handling, wheeled devices I have ever operated.

That's about all from me this year, time to elevate my aching leg up and get it healing for 2020's adventures.

Be kind to each other, beware of White Van Man and Fourbee Fred, ride well.

Let's hope for the best Christmas prezzy we could all share, a bloody good, solid band of rain across the country to wet down the paddocks and fires.
