Hello,

Monday lunchtime is when we round up all the main headlines from the weekend.

A man suspected of setting fire to a flat in Preston has been interviewed by detectives.

The man, aged in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of arson after the fire in Birkdale Drive, Ashton.

Police have also been busy shutting down a cannabis farm after finding 600 plants growing in a house in the Holme Slack area of Preston.

Also at the weekend, we brought you the amazing story of the cafe worker who has been hailed as a hero after saving a woman's life.

Maureen Davenport, 32, was checking the tables outside Cherry Pie Coffee and Co in Preston Market last month when she noticed an elderly lady collapse in the street outside.

She rushed to the aid of Susan Seaton, 75, and put her CPR training into action.

Preston Pride was back in the city at the weekend, bigger and better than ever, and the organisers of the Lancashire Encounter Festival have hailed it their best-ever event.

Thanks for reading,

Adam
