Letter from the Editor We all know the value of the combination of an insulin pump and a continuous glucose monitor for improving TIR and A1c. The effects are increased if the smart technologies of the combination are used. However, not everyone can afford to use that combination, and a lot of health plans don’t pay for that technology. This week Eric Cheung, USF Doctor of Pharmacy Candidate, shares an exciting study that uses automated Telehealth services to calculate insulin dosing for patients. The results are pretty amazing. Read Eric’s review and then think if you have patients that could benefit from the service. ***************************** We can make a difference! ***************************** Dave Joffe Editor-in-chief |
