CBS Sports Football Pick Six Newsletter

There are two teams tied at 6-4 atop the AFC South. Lucky for football fans, they're set to play against each other tonight, for all of us to see. Whoever wins this game gets a leg up in the race for a home playoff game in the first round. Whoever loses is suddenly on the outside of the playoff picture looking in. Jared Dubin joined me to break down all the matchups and provide a prediction.
Through 11 weeks, Rivers ranks 17th in completion percentage, 13th in yards per attempt, 24th in touchdown percentage, fourth in interception percentage (as in, the fourth-highest rate), 22nd in passer rating, 12th in DYAR, 17th in DVOA, and 24th in total QBR. So, he hasn't been great, but where did he land in Sean Wagner-McGough's QB Rankings?
The NFL announced on Thursday that Garrett's indefinite suspension has been upheld, which means the defensive end will have to sit out the rest of the 2019 season, including any potential playoff games if the Browns were to qualify for the postseason. Garrett will then have to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell after the season to review his case and to prove that he should be reinstated for the start of the 2020 season. Although Garrett didn't get good news from the league, Steelers center Maurkice Pouncey was slightly more successful in his appeal hearing. The league has announced that Pouncey's suspension has been reduced from three games down to two.

The Redskins and Giants are currently slated to pick just behind the Bengals in the 2020 Draft and both could target defensive players from Ohio State. So, which team ends up with Chase Young in Josh Edwards' latest mock draft?
The Packers and 49ers could be giving us a preview of the NFC title game. Tom Fornelli thinks the Niners will be able to pressure Aaron Rodgers and will be able to run the ball which will take pressure off Jimmy G and prove to be the difference.
During the past two seasons, DeAndre Hopkins was targeted on 67 throws at least 20 yards in the air, catching 28 of them for 855 yards and eight touchdowns, per Pro Football Focus. This season, he has been targeted deep downfield only 11 times, catching just two of them for 50 yards and zero scores. Deshaun Watson is under pressure a lot, but if the Texans are to be successful the two will have to hook up for more connections deep down the field.
