Hello, Royal Watchers,
Now that you've finished "The Crown" season 4 (you have caught up, right?), do you feel the show took too many liberties with the Royal Family's story, as some critics are saying, or do you think the Netflix series was justified in having creative licence to do as they please?
"Clearly, insiders briefing on the royals' behalf have taken offence at some of the content, particularly that relating to the Prince of Wales," said Camilla Tominey, a royal correspondent for the Daily Telegraph, in an interview with CBC News.
"They think he's being really harshly depicted and that Diana is, effectively, being characterized as some kind of angel."
Charles isn't the only royal to have been depicted in a less-than-flattering light; the series also went after the Queen's other children, particularly Prince Edward and Prince Andrew, and Her Majesty herself.
What do you think of the criticism of the series? Is it justified or not? Please share your thoughts by emailing us and we'll post our favourite responses in the next newsletter.
Have a great weekend and be safe, Royal Watchers 👑👑 |
