To end the working week, it seems that all things related to tech security take front and centre stage, with breaches, code exploits, vulnerabilities and possible subterfuge featuring heavily among this morning’s articles.

In an explosive revelation, the Tor Project, which produces a browser said to be the gold standard for privacy, is actually being funded by the US Government agency BBG and co-operates with American intelligence agencies, a report claims.

American credit information provider Equifax has identified another 2.4 million customers affected by a data breach it first disclosed in September last year.

The website of SSL certificate reseller Trustico has gone offline following Thursday's revelations that the company had retained more than 20,000 private keys for certificates which it had obtained from digital certificate provider DigiCert.

Security firm CrowdStrike appears to be trying to adopt a "business as usual" mode as it tries to make the world at large forget its role in one of the most publicised hacks of modern times: the breach of servers of the Democrat National Committee in 2016.
