Lately, the sky’s the limit for U.S. frozen sales. In January 2022, frozen food sales were up 26% compared to January 2020. Are you seeing an increase in your frozen food sales?

With the challenging obstacles the restaurant dining and fast food are facing (pricing, supply chain, staffing and employee retention, criticisms from social media, quality of food, service, and consistency) without a doubt has lead to stronger frozen food sales and prepared meals within the department. You also include the addition of all of the gluten-free, vegan and keto-friendly options expanding into the category ... win-win there.

Frozen sales have increased, but year over year will be skewed due to supply issues from the end of '21 and beginning of '22 especially in frozen categories.
