News, products, marketing and merchandising tips for the front end of community pharmacies
| There's a card for everything
Do you have a happy Father's Day card for my Golden Retriever? Yes, right over here... they are called blank cards—great looking cards ready for your personalized message. Blank cards are a good idea for not letting anyone down.
| | Gift the best seat in the house
Place a big beautiful red bow on a lift chair and a sign that reads "Give Dad the best seat in the house." Add perceived value to all lift chairs and mobility items with a string tag that lists the retail price along with the word "only." For example, "Only $950.00". Remember, string tag. No stick-on price tags.
| | Elevate your delivery service
Offering lift chairs with free delivery or for a small fee is a great idea, but there is a good chance the competition may do the same. Consider changing your offer to "delivery and set-up." Set up means you will carry it into the house, unbox the chair, assemble, if need be, plug it in and make sure it works. Nice.
| | Don't let hands limit sales
The easiest way to increase out front sales other than great signs are shopping baskets. Strange fact, most people are terrible jugglers, that is why lots of people stop shopping when their hands get filled. Avoid putting the baskets near the door. Instead, display them near the first endcap after entering the store and near the rear of the store.
