Program ‘Oosterschelde’ 2016 complete!

The 'Oosterschelde' will make a special trip again. On January 2nd we start with an Atlantic Triangle.

The journey from Rotterdam to Tenerife is for the real sailors among us. It will be cold on departure, but our destination is sunny. From Tenerife we cross the Atlantic to Martinique. We take our time on this trip. In search of the trade winds we might find ourselves so close to Cape Verde we make a short stop there. But if we decide to cross straight away we have time for a landing on Barbados before we sail the final miles to Martinique.

Caribbean dream voyages
From Martinique we make two dream trips. We start with an eight-day luxury sailing cruise along the islands of the East Caribbean. Then a 14-day voyage along many beautiful spots: Martinique, St. Lucia, St. Vincent and the Grenadines and our 'own' Dutch gems Bonaire, Curacao and Aruba. Sun, sea, sailing what more can you wish for!

After Aruba we sail to Cartagena, Colombia. The starting point for a charter. The ‘Oosterschelde’ is chartered by Vopak a company that supported the restoration of the ‘Oosterschelde’ 25 years ago. The company celebrates her 400-year anniversary. Part of this jubilee year is a journey along the terminals in Central and North America. The charter ends in Houston.

Maritime internship
From here you can join us again. On the leg Houston-Bermuda-Rotterdam, we offer a number of students from the Maritime Academy the chance to complete their task books. Of course non-students can participate too in learning and performing all the assignments in the field of navigation and ship management. After our return in Rotterdam we start immediately with the summer season. The entire program with itineraries can be found on our website.
