The Crescent City Connection could once again be lit up at night in just over a year, thanks to a deal struck between the city and state. Ben Myers has the details on how a road swap to help reopen Lincoln Beach will also benefit the effort to relight the bridge, which has been dark since Hurricane Ida. The $1 billion plan to develop 50 acres of riverfront property in New Orleans has broad political support, but simmering tensions between the development group and the City Council boiled over at a meeting Thursday with accusations the developers have not been forthright about their pursuit of tax subsidies.
