Protest continues at Tulane: Pro-Palestinian demonstrators remained at Tulane University for a second day Tuesday as police surrounded their encampment and the school suspended several students and an activist group. Angry students and parents wrote an open letter to Tulane administrators for letting the protest continue on school grounds, though law enforcement hadn't made any arrests by 9:30 p.m. Patrick Wall and Marie Fazio have the story. UpStairs Lounge plaque stolen: Someone has stolen the bronze memorial plaque honoring the 32 gay men, women and allies killed in the city's deadliest fire, set by an arsonist at the Upstairs Lounge in 1973. Missy Wilkinson has this report on the police investigation. And on Tuesday night, the NOPD released a video that shows a man picking the plaque up out of where it had been embedded and placing it into an empty garbage can. Crackdown on massage parlors: The Jefferson Parish Council is going to consider a measure that would make it easier to shut down massage parlors offering illicit services. The change comes after one council member fielded many complaints about a parlor in Terrytown that remained open even though the state refused to renew its license. Blake Paterson has the details.
