🪧Protests erupt at Stonewall over trans erasure

🪧 Protesters gathered Friday to rally against the deletion of transgender and queer from the Stonewall Inn landmark site of the National Park Service. The erasure follows Trump's executive orders denying the existence of trans people and removing them from other government websites along with LGBTQ+ resources.

🕯️ A trans man was tortured and killed in Upstate New York. Authorities said at a press conference on Friday that Sam Nordquist, 24, had been abused for weeks before his death. Five people have been arrested and charged in connection to his killing. Rest in power, Sam. 🕯️

👏🏽 Drag queens, queer folks, and LGBTQ+ allies also protested the latest moves at the Kennedy Center. Donald Trump made himself chair and took over the board of the D.C. institution. In his takeover, Trump cited drag performances as one of the reasons he targeted the venue.
