From the energy we consume, to the emissions we generate; the plastics and packaging on our shelves, to the waste we dispose of; we understand our actions affect the environment, and hold ourselves accountable for this impact.
This achievement will prevent over 274,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from entering the atmosphere annually. That is the equivalent of powering 59,677 Australian homes for one year!
Our customers can feel confident their weekly shop isn’t costing the earth.

How did we get here?

Powering all our offices, stores and warehouses with 100% renewable electricity has reduced our carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions by 85 per cent.

To get here we adopted a three-pronged approach comprising of on-site generation via our extensive network of solar panels across stores and Distribution Centres, offsite generation through Power Purchase Agreements with two wind farms, and the acquisition of market renewable energy certificates.
