TAIPEI ARTIST VILLAGE & TREASURE HILL VILLAGE FOCUS |
|
| Taipei Artist Village and Treasure Hill Artist Village focus on cultivating talents and international exchange as their mission, endeavoring to provide artists in Taiwan and abroad a base for innovation and experimentation, encouraging art exchanges between Taiwan and the world while expanding the horizon of culture. The Taipei Culture Foundation became responsible for overseeing the operations of Taipei Artist Village in 2004 and took over supervision for Treasure Hill Artist Village in 2010. The “Department of AIR” was specially designed to meet the administrative demands of both artist villages, with efforts to shape the brand of “Artist-in-Residence (AIR) Taipei.” Starting in 2023, Taiwanese and international artists have viewed Treasure Hill Artist Village as their creative base and have continued to roll out field research and art projects to integrate the resources of South Taipei and maximize its utilization. |
