Good morning. Here are some of our top headlines. Expanding vouchers: The Louisiana Legislature wants to greatly expand the current voucher system for needy families who want to send their kids to private school into a universal entitlement extended to help pay for private school and other expenses outside of the public school system to all parents regardless of financial need. Patrick Wall has this report. Regulating rentals: The months-long freeze on enforcement of the city's short-term rental laws is over, now comes the job of regulating the more-than 6,000 such properties, of which only 1 in 6 have an active permit. Sophie Kasakove has the details. Bathroom ban: State lawmakers are considering a bill that would effectively ban transgender people from using bathrooms that align with their gender identity. Supporters say it would help keep women and girls safe, while critics say it will make life more difficult for trans youth and make them more vulnerable to abuse. Meghan Freidmann has the story.
